It is my privilege as the Clinical Dean of the college to welcome you in our medical education programs at American University of Barbados, School of Medicine.
From the very first semester the school curriculum provides our students with the necessary cognitive, technical, and interpersonal skills reflecting the competencies required to excel in both the USMLE and clinical practice. Case-based discussions and inquiry-based learning are at the heart of the first two years of the MD programs while continuous diagnostics and clinical-based assessments are tools we utilize for our third and fourth year medical students. In their clinical years, students are able to complete their clerkships at accredited hospitals in the USA, Barbados, Malta and Philippines. Furthermore, our graduates are able to pursue medical residency, research, fellowship and academic positions globally.
By providing exemplary medical education programs, the American University of Barbados, School of Medicine seeks to engage a new generation of medical doctors with increased globalized networks of healthcare services augmented by a remarkable curriculum with distinguished faculty.
We assure you to provide the best possible medical education at American University of Barbados.
